The Role
As an experienced Senior MPU Operator, you will be hands‐on with mobile mixing units by safely loading, transporting and pumping explosives to deliver precise blasting outcomes. You will work closely with the crew or operate solo on adhoc jobs to keep operations on track using advanced equipment in a safety‐first environment.
What You'll Do
* Operate MPU trucks safely to manufacture and deliver bulk explosives to blast holes
* Track and maintain accurate records and proactively report any issues to the Shift Supervisor
* Carry out pre‐start checks and support preventative maintenance on equipment
* Follow all safety, environmental and compliance requirements
* Support the wider team to achieve daily targets
What You'll Need
* Right to work in Australia without restriction
* Previous and proven experience operating MPU/MMU or similar equipment in an open cut mining environment
* Statement of Attainment for MPU Operating (e.g., RIIBLA203E – Conduct Mobile Mixing of Explosives, RIIBLA201E – Support Shotfiring Operations, RIIBLA205E – Store, Handle & Transport Explosives)
* Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
* QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or ability to obtain)
* Ability to pass pre‐employment checks including medical, drug and alcohol and background checks
