About Us
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) leads the development, planning, and delivery of comprehensive primary health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Southeast Queensland.
The Goodna Clinic was established in 2014 in response to the large and unmet health and related needs of a growing population of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Goodna region.
About the Role
As a Medical Receptionist at our IUIH Goodna clinics, you will play an important role in our service delivery. Your responsibilities include providing quality customer service, administrative support, and ensuring patient engagement and attendance.
* Prepare for daily appointments by organizing client files and relevant materials.
* Support the Clinic Team with administrative tasks such as photocopying, compiling materials, and preparing for program activities.
* Confirm follow-up and next appointment dates with patients.
* Monitor, review, and audit data accuracy.
* Implement practices to achieve high booking and attendance rates.
* Deliver high-quality customer service both in person and over the phone.
About You

* Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
* Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Certificate in CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, respecting their culture, values, and ways of doing business.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
* Experience within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service
* Experience working with electronic Patient Management Systems, e.g., MMEx
