**Project Leader Wanted for Complex Civil Construction Project**
Central Earthmoving is a leading civil construction contractor in Western Australia, known for its commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team as a leader in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale civil construction works.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring project outcomes are safe, compliant, and commercially successful. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the success of a major regional infrastructure project while developing future engineering talent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the engineering planning and delivery of project works in line with contractual, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Develop construction programs, schedules, and procurement strategies to meet project timelines.
* Monitor performance against KPIs across cost, schedule, and quality metrics.
* Manage technical clarifications, variations, and contract administration in collaboration with the Project Manager.
* Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to engineers, including performance reviews and development planning.
* Oversee project cost control, tracking actuals against budgets, and assist with financial reporting.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with HSEQ requirements, conduct risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture.
About You:
You are a seasoned and solutions-focused engineer with a strong background in civil construction. You excel in remote site environments and bring a collaborative, safety-first approach to achieving successful project outcomes.
To be successful in the role, you will have the essential qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, with 10–15 years preferred.
* Proven ability in project financials, cost control, and subcontractor management.
* Familiarity with WHS, quality, and environmental management systems.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to team development.
* Advanced planning, scheduling, and resource coordination abilities.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
* High attention to detail, organisation, and commercial awareness.
