Visiting Medical Officer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced medical professional to provide expert assessment and management of patients within our department. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and demonstrating commitment to teaching and professional behavior.
Job Description:
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have experience in hand surgery, including fellowship training and subspecialty expertise in orthopaedic, plastic, or general surgery.
The selected candidate must demonstrate ongoing medical education and self-monitoring practices, and have proven ability to provide high-quality patient care, participate in continuous learning, and demonstrate commitment to excellence in their field.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons or equivalent
* Subspecialty training in Orthopaedic, Plastic, or General Surgery, including Hand Surgery fellowship

The primary location of this position may be varied as agreed with the Director of Medical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities in SESLHD.
