Support Patient & Staff Travel Across the Region
We're looking for an organized and proactive team member to support the efficient operation of our Travel Services Office. In this permanent full-time role, you'll coordinate patient and staff travel, process claims, and work closely with internal teams and external travel providers. You'll contribute to a smooth, safe, and equitable travel experience for our community while helping ensure compliance with Queensland Health policies and guidelines.
About The Role
As a key member of our small Travel Services Office, you will coordinate travel arrangements, process claims, and provide high-quality customer service to patients, staff, and external providers. You will use sound judgement, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to culturally responsive care to support safe and efficient travel services.
In This Role, You Will
Coordinate approved patient and staff travel, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Queensland Health policies.
Review travel requests, register data correctly in travel software, and process claims efficiently.
Provide professional, timely advice to patients and staff regarding travel and accommodation.
Assist with reconciling accounts and preparing payments for travel providers (e.g., airline, rail, car hire).
Apply knowledge of the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme and organisational duty-of-care responsibilities.
Support a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace, following WHS and ethical standards.
Engage respectfully with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, multicultural, and linguistically diverse communities.
Deliver culturally safe services aligned with Queensland Health cultural capability frameworks.

Requirements
Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Hep B.
A period of probation may apply.
