CatholicCare Sydney is seeking a School Counsellor to provide individual and group therapeutic counselling services, referrals for students, and advice to school staff.
The successful candidate will deliver services to the school community, including workshops and education sessions for students, parents, and staff. The School Counsellor will work closely with other agencies and external services where appropriate.
This is an attractive opportunity for experienced counsellors who are passionate about supporting the emotional and behavioural needs of children, adolescents, families, and at-risk students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual and group therapeutic counselling services to students, parents, and staff.
* Develop and implement workshops and education sessions for students, parents, and staff.
* Liaise with other agencies and external services where appropriate.
Requirements:
* Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or paid membership of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) with a classification of practicing member.
* Minimum two years' experience post-qualifying in providing counselling services addressing emotional and/or behavioural needs to children, adolescents, families, and at-risk students.
* School counselling experience desirable but not essential.
