Job Description
As a senior leader, you will oversee the strategic leadership and oversight of a portfolio of industries. This includes modelling our organisational values and behaviours, developing and delivering a portfolio strategy, engaging and aligning stakeholders, implementing a Stakeholder Engagement Framework, and supporting ongoing planning and reviews.
You will take an entrepreneurial approach to securing co-investment from producers, industry groups, government, and research providers. You will lead a team of Program Managers and Coordinators to identify RD&E priorities and delivery industry priorities in consultation with industry stakeholders.
You will manage external partnerships to ensure high-quality outputs and negotiate and manage contracts to deliver value for levy payers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven ability to develop and implement portfolio strategies that deliver impactful outcomes
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
* Strong leadership capability with experience in coaching, collaboration, and accountability
* Understanding of rural R&D systems and pathways for communication and extension
* Excellent financial, planning, and program management skills
* Knowledge of Australian agriculture and empathy for rural communities

To be successful in this role, you will need to have tertiary qualifications in science, business management or economics or equivalent relevant experience.
You will also need to have 10+ years of experience within Program Management, including identifying R&D priorities, developing R&E plans, and supporting budgets.
