Survey Technician – Opportunities Across Australia
Locations: Options available nationwide (WA, QLD, SA, NT and more)
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 inclusive of Super per annum
About the Role
A leading national consultancy is seeking Survey Technicians to support project delivery across infrastructure, construction, land development, energy and resources. You'll work alongside experienced Surveyors and Senior Surveyors, using modern equipment and technology to deliver accurate field data, set-outs and spatial outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with field surveys, data capture and engineering set-outs under supervision
Operate and maintain survey equipment including GNSS, total stations and laser scanners
Process and validate survey data using specialist software
Assist with preparation of plans, maps and spatial models
Support construction works with set-out, marking and verification tasks
Work to project specifications and applicable surveying standards
Follow strict HSE requirements and site protocols
Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot and solve field issues
Key Criteria
To be successful, you will ideally have:
Diploma (or similar) in Surveying / Spatial Science / Spatial Technology
Experience in engineering set-outs (essential)
Practical experience with GNSS, total stations, laser scanners
Exposure to AutoCAD, GIS or spatial data software (advantageous)
Strong attention to detail, reliability and a safety-first mindset
Ability to work in a team, take direction and develop technical capability over time
Understanding of Australian surveying standards (preferred, not essential)
