Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee our fleet operations and drive service excellence. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing daily courier and freight transport activities, ensuring all deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate will have experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics, with strong organisational and scheduling skills, excellent client service, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the planning, coordination, and supervision of daily courier and freight transport activities.
* Develop and manage transport schedules, delivery routes, and driver assignments to maximise productivity and efficiency.
* Ensure all goods are handled, loaded, stored, and transported in accordance with company standards and client-specific quality and safety requirements.
* Supervise the collection of goods, coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams to guarantee smooth operations and accurate tracking.
* Maintain accurate operational records, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance schedules, and delivery documentation.
* Lead, train, and motivate drivers and logistics staff, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous operational improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Tertiary Qualifications in Business Management (preferred but not mandatory).
* Minimum 1 year experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management.
* Strong reporting, record-keeping, and communication skills.
* Knowledge of OHS regulations and compliance standards.
