About The Team
Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About The Opportunity
Deliver work allocated by the Work Group Leader (Signals) or Area Manager to ensure operational integrity and efficiency throughout the rail corridor.
* Install, modify, maintain and repair signalling and communication equipment, in accordance with technical maintenance plans, signalling discipline standards, practices and safe working procedures.
* Examine and test signalling equipment in accordance with signalling standards, diagnose and isolate faults, and ensure that appropriate certificates are submitted.
* Install and maintain mechanical signalling locking, and interlocking devices and Infrastructure and equipment.
What do we want from you?
* Detailed knowledge of a single rail infrastructure discipline.
* Knowledge of or an awareness of Work, Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
* Safe working qualified (PO1 minimum, PO2 desirable)
* Drivers Licence Class C
* ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03).
* Trade Certificate in electrical trade
* Sound knowledge of testing parameters, signal circuit wiring plans, power wiring systems and signal track plans.
* Knowledge of or an awareness of Work, Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
* Ability to travel and work across the Hunter Valley.
* Current drivers' license
