Ambrose Construct Group is expanding in the Dubbo & Western NSW region and we're looking for an experienced Lead Hand to support our regional operations.
This hybrid role is perfect for a skilled tradesperson looking to step up. Combining hands-on work with light supervision, make-safe repairs, subcontractor coordination and scoping support.
What you'll be doing
* Carrying out minor repairs including carpentry, plastering, painting, and general maintenance.
* Completing make-safe works quickly and effectively.
* Coordinating small-scale repair jobs, ensuring they're delivered safely and on time.
* Communicating with clients, suppliers, and trades on-site.
* Supporting quoting and repair methodologies for insurance claims.
* Ensuring all work meets Australian Standards, WHS and quality requirements.
About You
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys variety day-to-day. You will have:
* Trade background - Cert III Carpentry or similar preferred.
* Solid hands-on experience in maintenance or handyman repairs.
* Valid NSW Driver's Licence & White Card.
* Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Confidence working independently across regional locations.
* Experience using tablets and job management systems.
* Knowledge of building codes and WHS requirements.
* Estimating or scoping experience is a bonus but not essential. We'll support the right person to learn and grow.

Physical Requirements
* Comfortable with physically demanding tasks, working at heights and in confined spaces.
* Lifting materials (e.g., timber, tiles) as required.
* Frequent travel to job sites throughout the region.
