About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a well-respected crisis youth accommodation service in Darwin, supporting young people during a short-term period. As a Youth Worker, you will have the chance to develop valuable experience and earn excellent penalty rates over Christmas/New Year.
Key Responsibilities
* Coach young people to develop independent living skills
* Build relationships with residents and colleagues
* Maintain a safe environment through effective risk management strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant experience in youth work, homelessness, mental health, or studying towards it
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Full driver's license
* Availability for shifts including weekends, nights, and public holidays
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Certificate (NPC)
Benefits
As compensation, you will receive $45 per hour base pay + super, plus additional penalty rates and sleepover allowances. This locum contract offers flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in your community.
