We aren't a \"box-ticking\" provider. We do human, respectful, high-quality support with heart and backbone. Now, we’re looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who \"get it\" to join our growing team.
The Reality of the Role
This is not a role for beginners. You will be supporting participants with complex needs who deserve workers capable of holding a calm space, building deep trust, and showing up with absolute professionalism every single time. Our expectations are high because the work actually matters.
Current Availability Needed
We are looking for someone to step into a regular schedule immediately, with the following hours:
* Mondays: 3:00pm – 5:00pm
* Tuesdays: 3:00pm – 5:00pm
* Wednesdays: 7:45am-9:45am
* Thursdays: 7:45am – 1:30pm & 3:00pm – 5:00pm
* Fridays: 9:00am – 3:00pm
* Growth: We have a consistent stream of referrals; for the right candidate, these hours can quickly increase as new participants join our service.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Support Worker with Enabled, you aren’t \"just helping out\"—you are a vital part of someone’s world. Your day-to-day will include:
* Personal Care: Supporting dignity through bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Daily Living: Assisting with meal prep, light housekeeping, and transport.
* Complex Support: Navigating morning routines and community participation with a trauma-informed lens.
* Clinical Communication: Writing clear, professional shift notes and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
* Advocacy: Promoting participant autonomy and ensuring their voice is heard.
Who You Are
You’ll thrive here if you are grounded, kind by nature, and calm under pressure. We need people who:
* Have solid experience in disability or aged care (complex needs experience is essential).
* Understand behaviour, regulation, and communication beyond words.
* Maintain impeccable professional boundaries while building genuine rapport.
* Hold (or are finishing) a Cert III in Individual Support or equivalent.
* Are aged 20+ with a driver’s licence, reliable car, and current WWVP/Police Checks.
