This is a permanent part time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.

For Clinical Psychologists Grade 1, an appointee may progress to Clinical Psychologist Grade 2 upon successful completion of a Board approved supervised period of practice and gaining endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. We may ask referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Please note that adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part of the appointment process.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: This is an exciting opportunity to experience various roles as a Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist Registrar. Our growing Department offers you clinical supervision, enrolment in our Early Career Learning & Development Program (LDP), and opportunities to expand your skills and competencies in areas within Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG) as you progress your career with us.

We are currently seeking Clinical Psychologists/Clinical Psychologist Registrars with a passion for evidence-based patient-centred care and a desire to learn and grow. This pool will initially offer appointments to Next Step Services, various locations. Successful applicants may also be considered for other similar positions across Royal Perth Bentley Group and EMHS.

Area Profile: (EMHS) The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 670,000 Western Australians in its catchment area.

Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women's, children's and neonates services.

The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services.

Next Step Next Step is the leading government drug and alcohol treatment service in Western Australia providing a range of clinical services. The treatment services provided by Next Step include: Outpatientservices at East Perth and via integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six metropolitan locations, the Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at East Perth, an onsite pharmacy service based at East Perth Outpatient and inpatient youth services via the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Youth Service. Community programs including the Community Pharmacotherapy Program and the Clinical Advisory Service. Next Step strives to be a culturally secure and inclusive service that is respectful of the diverse needs of each individual.
