A leading civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to deliver complex infrastructure projects from inception through to successful completion.
This role is strictly suited to candidates with a formal qualification in Civil Engineering and extensive experience within the civil construction sector.
About the Role
As Civil Project Manager, you will take full ownership of project delivery, leading multidisciplinary site teams while maintaining control of safety, quality, environmental compliance, programme and financial performance. You will report directly to senior construction leadership and play a key role in driving project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end management of civil construction projects from planning to close-out
Development and ownership of construction programmes, methodologies and procurement schedules
Leadership and coordination of Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and support staff
Client liaison, formal reporting and chairing internal and external project meetings
Oversight of WHS, QA and Environmental Management Plans
Financial management including cost forecasting, budgeting, variations and subcontractor claims
Subcontractor and supplier management, including scope review, progress tracking and dispute resolution
Ensuring project delivery aligns with contractual, legislative and company compliance requirements
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory – applicants without this qualification will not be considered)
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager within the civil construction industry
Proven ability to manage projects from award through to handover
Strong leadership capability with experience managing site-based teams
Advanced knowledge of WHS, QA, environmental controls and civil construction methodologies
High-level skills in MS Project and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost reporting
