We are currently seeking a passionate and innovative Sustainability and Kitchen Garden Teacher to join our Junior School team on a permanent part-time basis commencing January 2026.
About the Role
This role leads the College’s outdoor learning and sustainability initiatives, centred on the Stephanie Alexander Garden Programme.
It delivers hands-on lessons for all year levels that integrate with the curriculum, promote environmental responsibility, and foster sustainable practices.
Activities include gardening, animal care, composting, recycling and produce-based projects, developed in collaboration with Junior School staff.
What we are looking for
- Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
- Tertiary qualifications in Education
- Knowledge and practical skills in sustainability, gardening, and/or environmental education
- Experience delivering engaging hands-on learning across multiple year levels
- Current WWCC, RRHAN-EC, First Aid, and Valuing Safe Communities training (or willingness to obtain)
- A demonstrated commitment to the Vision, Mission, and Values of the College
- Experience with the Stephanie Alexander Garden Programme, school recycling initiatives, or animal care (e.g., chickens, worm farms) will be highly regarded
