Your Impact as a Data Analyst
This isn't just a back-office reporting role; it's a mission-critical function at the heart of our Finance division. You will be instrumental in sourcing enterprise-wide data to produce precise and timely regulatory reports for APRA and other government agencies.
In this dynamic position, you will:
* Become a subject matter expert in regulatory data, ensuring the utmost integrity and quality.
* Masterfully query and analyse complex datasets using SQL, SAS, or similar tools to uncover insights and resolve discrepancies.
* Collaborate with teams across Finance, IT, and Data Governance to drive data-driven solutions and remediate issues.
* Go beyond routine tasks by identifying opportunities to enhance and automate reporting processes, building robust controls that stand the test of time.
* Balance critical day-to-day responsibilities with engaging in transformative project work aimed at uplifting our long-term data management capabilities.
Your Expertise
We are looking for a professional who can demonstrate:
* Proven experience in a data-intensive role such as data analysis, business intelligence, or data wrangling, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, SAS, or similar querying languages.
* A sharp analytical and problem-solving mindset with an unwavering attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
* A proactive and ambitious nature, with a passion for continuous improvement and a history of contributing to process enhancements. Experience with data-driven automation will be highly regarded.
* A relevant tertiary qualification.
