We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the end‐to‐end development of new rotomoulded products — from concept and commercial validation through to manufacturing readiness, launch and post‐launch performance.
This is a hands‐on, commercially focused role working at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and market delivery, with real ownership and influence across the product portfolio.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the product lifecycle for rotomoulded products, coordinating cross‐functional teams across Design, Tooling, Manufacturing, Quality, HSE, Procurement, Sales, Marketing and Finance. You'll be responsible for ensuring products are market‐led and customer‐driven, commercially viable, manufacturing‐ready, and delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Concept Development
* Translate ideas into clearly scoped product initiatives with defined objectives, success metrics and governance.
* Build product requirement documents (PRDs) and business cases.
* Drive stage‐gate decision making and stakeholder alignment.
Market & Customer Insight
* Conduct market sizing, segmentation and competitor analysis.
* Gather voice‐of‐customer insight through interviews, site visits and trials.
* Define value propositions, pricing corridors and willingness‐to‐pay.
* Translate requirements into technical specifications and drawings.
Business Case & Commercial Ownership
* Develop detailed commercial models including BOM, tooling and CapEx, cycle times, labour and margin.
* Build scenario analyses, breakeven volumes and payback models.
* Present investment cases and secure executive sign‐off.
Project Delivery & Manufacturing Readiness
* Lead NPI programs through tooling build, trials and approvals.
* Partner with Engineering and Tooling on mould feasibility and optimisation.
* Define SOPs, work instructions and quality checkpoints.
* Lead trials and validate cycle time, quality, warpage and dimensional compliance.
* Train manufacturing and QA teams on new products.
Safety, Compliance & Quality
* Develop SWMS and review HSE controls for new products.
* Coordinate compliance testing and certification (AS/NZS and relevant standards).
* Establish traceability where required.
Go-to-Market & Launch
* Build and execute go‐to‐market plans.
* Develop launch and sales enablement assets (spec sheets, CAD files, guides, training materials).
* Support pilot customers and refine products for scale.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Product Management.
* Proven product management experience in manufacturing, industrial or engineered products.
* Strong commercial and analytical capability.
* Experience working cross‐functionally in complex manufacturing environments.
* A customer‐centric mindset with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
* Confidence moving between strategy and hands‐on execution.
* Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Willingness to travel interstate as required.
