We are seeking a diligent Financial Administrator to join our team based in Toowoomba office. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting functions.
The selected candidate will be tasked with day-to-day financial control, overseeing all bookkeeping aspects of the organization and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities include performing a range of bookkeeping duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, statements, and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.
* General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the general ledger is up to date, accurate, and compliant with accounting standards.
* Payroll Processing: Prepare and process weekly payroll, including calculation of leave entitlements and tax obligations.
* Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports and statements to support management decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a bookkeeping or accounts payable/receivable role, preferably within a small business or accounting firm. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in MYOB accounting software are essential.
The successful applicant will possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to work confidently and independently. Relevant qualifications in accounting or a related field would be highly regarded.
