We’re looking for a Senior Development & Building Liaison Officer to lead a helpful, responsive and customer-centred service within Development Services. You’ll lead and support the Development & Building Liaison function, helping customers, applicants and stakeholders understand development and building processes with confidence and clarity. What you’ll do In this role, you will: lead and support the Development & Building Liaison team to deliver a high-quality customer experience provide day-to-day coordination, mentoring and guidance to staff help customers navigate development and building processes, enquiries and lodgements ensure customers receive accurate, timely and easy-to-understand information work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve service delivery identify service gaps, process risks and improvement opportunities support key administrative functions within Development Assessment, including reporting and process oversight View the full position description HERE (this link will work on Orange City Council's website). What we’re looking for To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: experience in customer service, development services, planning, local government or a similar regulatory environment proven ability to lead, coach and support staff strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills the ability to identify, analyse and resolve complex issues relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Business Services/Administration, or equivalent experience Why join us?
