A highly complex and decentralised organisation which continues to grow rapidly through acquisition, they are now seeking an energetic, bright, ambitious HR Manager with solid analytical and communication skills. This role will suit either a Senior HR Business Partner ready to step up into a leadership role, or an up-and-coming HR Manager with room to grow.
Reporting to the Regional Director for ANZ, and with two direct reports, the HR Manager works closely with and acts as an escalation point for the HR Business Partners embedded within the various legal entities across Australia and New Zealand. The role is the more senior partner to the Managing Directors of each entity. The focus is therefore on regional policy and process, performance, training, metrics, managing regional HR matters, and striving for consistency in HR practices across the region. The culture is entrepreneurial, with a genuine passion for nurturing talent and growing from within.
Ensuring the proper implementation of each business line's strategy and objectives in HR, legal compliance, and establishing shared procedures and systems across the organisation are key objectives. Safety and quality are also paramount.
In-depth knowledge of labour law, strong active listening, influencing, and negotiation skills are key to success, as is a desire to continually learn and improve. While a background in life sciences is not necessary, proven experience in complex, matrix, medium-sized organisations as a broad generalist will be highly regarded. Regular travel is required.
