Brunel is partnering with this leading contractor to recruit a proactive and experienced Safety Advisor. This role focuses on projects in
Northern NSW
and the
Southern Gold Coast
, providing an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks
Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, emergency response procedures, and hazard analyses
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks to promote safe work practices
Investigate incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety legislation and company policies
Provide guidance and training to staff and subcontractors on safety protocols and best practices
Profile
Strong background in construction safety.
Construction building experience is a must.
Comprehensive knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and industry standards
Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent; additional safety management qualifications highly regarded
