ACRWORLD are seeking a dynamic Project Director to lead the successful delivery of multiple utility-scale BESS projects across Australia.
As Project Director, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end project performance across several high-value BESS projects. Working closely with the executive team, you’ll be responsible for driving strategy, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
This is a senior leadership role reporting to the General Manager and overseeing a growing team of Project Managers and support staff. You’ll also play a critical role in shaping delivery frameworks, improving processes, and strengthening relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the successful execution of multiple utility-scale BESS projects
* Develop and implement project strategies aligned with business objectives
* Lead and mentor project teams including Senior PMs, PMs, and Administrators
* Monitor budgets, manage resources, and drive project performance
* Engage with clients, contractors, and consultants to maintain alignment and satisfaction
* Ensure project delivery adheres to all safety, quality, and compliance requirements
* Identify and mitigate risks across all phases of delivery
About You:
* 15+ years of experience delivering large, complex infrastructure projects
* Proven success managing high-value contracts ($100M+)
* Background in renewable energy, major electrical infrastructure, or substation projects
* Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking skills
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and team management capabilities
Desirable:
* Experience in delivering BESS, substation, or grid-scale renewable energy projects
* PMP or equivalent project management certification
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline
