Hudson are working with our Sydney based client seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Consultant to ensure the security, compliance, and data privacy of their Azure platform. Your role involves developing and implementing robust security measures, providing expertise on Azure security features, and advising on implementation best practices. This position will work closely with the Head of Technology for Data Delivery and the Manager, Data Delivery to implement a Data Governance Framework and relevant security controls for setting up Azure Power BI Service.
Responsibilities:
* Define and implement Azure security configurations, standards, and procedures to mitigate risks.
* Recommend industry best practices for Power BI and other Azure services.
* Assist in implementing automation and monitoring solutions to ensure real-time detection and response to security events.
* Produce relevant documentation (ABAC, Build and Design).
* Knowledge of Azure pricing and ability to estimate potential usage.
Desired Experience and Capabilities:
* Configuration, installation, and administration experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches and routers, Load Balancers (F5), Firewall technologies (Fortinet).
* Expertise in configuring and maintaining Cloud platforms networking infrastructure.
* Experience managing network hardening concepts across on-premises and Azure cloud.
* Managing and configuring Windows Server, VMWare. Familiarity with ACSC Essential 8/ISM and PSPF
Key Stakeholders:
* Deputy CIO, Head of Technology for Data Delivery, Head of Central Services.
* Executive Director for Technology and Data, Chief Security Officer, Chief Data Officer, Chief Risk Officer.
Desired Skills (official):
* Understanding of industry security frameworks (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, Essential Eight).
* Implementing security network configurations, firewalls, and policies.
* Configuration of on-premise data sources using gateways and VPN connections.
* Implementing role-based security and row-level security within PowerBI.
* Integrating Power BI with Azure Active Directory.
* Configuring and managing data encryption in Azure.
* Utilizing Audit Logs and Azure Monitor for security-related events.
* Experience with Azure security design patterns and practices.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive with a positive mindset and energetic approach.
* Team player willing to share knowledge and collaborate on solutions.
