The role

The People Unit at UTS is embarking on an exciting period of transformation, designed to elevate the support we provide to the university and position us for a dynamic, digitally enabled future. This transformation is all about creating a more strategic, agile, and future-focused People Unit. We are building stronger Strategic Business Partnering capability, enhancing our operational processes through greater standardization and automation, and expanding our focus on Learning and Organisation Development, Talent Management, Organisation Design, and Workforce Planning. These changes will empower us to provide even more effective support to UTS, enabling the university to thrive in its evolving landscape.

As part of this transformation, we have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead our recruitment efforts and make a lasting impact.

About the Role

As the Manager, Talent Acquisition you will play a critical role in driving UTS's recruitment strategy, leading a high-performing team, and delivering cutting-edge recruitment solutions. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition and Reward, you will ensure that UTS attracts, retains, and develops top talent by optimizing recruitment practices, leveraging data‐driven insights, and utilizing technologies. This role is pivotal in aligning recruitment strategies with the university's workforce needs and long‐term goals and enhancing the service delivery model of recruitment at UTS. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders and external partners to build strong relationships, ensure recruitment processes are aligned with broader people strategies, and enhance UTS's employer brand in a competitive talent market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the recruitment team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery
  • Drive the implementation of strategic recruitment solutions, including AI-based talent identification, data-driven decision-making, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Business Partners and senior leaders to identify talent gaps and ensure recruitment strategies align with UTS's workforce needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment partners and leverage their expertise to enhance UTS's recruitment capabilities.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $136,830 to $143,345 pa (HEW 9). This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full time role and will be made on a continuing basis.
