As a result of its sustained success, they are now seeking an Accountant to join the team and contribute to the organisation's continued success. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is the perfect role for a first mover from public practice looking to take their first step into industry.
The Role
As an Accountant in this role, you will provide strategic support within different aspects of the business. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with financial accounting and reporting
- Assist with preparing monthly Board Reports and Quarterly Audit and Risk Committee Reports.
- Assist with statutory external audit processes
- Assist with the preparation of notes to the year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
- Balance sheets reconciliations.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure on-going compliance with accounting practices and procedures.
- Assist with maintaining adequate internal control systems.
- Maintenance of cash flow forecasts including analysis and assistance with Banking and Treasury administration tasks.
- Administration of ERP including coordinating monthly closings.
Your Profile
You will be a person with excellent communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail. You will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, being able to well manage competing priorities.
- At least 2-4 years' experience
- Public practice experience highly desirable
- Proven ability to work with stakeholders
- Proactive and self-motivated in a fast-paced workplace
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
