Safety Excellence Specialist

* This involves partnering with operational stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, ensuring the ongoing reduction of workplace hazards and incidents.
* The Safety Excellence Specialist will maximize opportunities to promote safety through various communication channels, providing timely updates and gathering feedback from relevant stakeholders.
* Responsibilities also include assisting in the analysis and implementation of corrective actions for incidents, as well as developing controls for identified hazards to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries.
* In addition, this role entails supporting the development and delivery of safety-related training requirements across the organization.
* The Safety Excellence Specialist will provide expert guidance and coaching to internal stakeholders to enhance and maintain a strong safety culture that ensures employees work safely every day.
* This individual will collaborate closely with the Safety Officer in incident and compliance management, and represent the organization at industry events.
We're seeking an experienced Safety Excellence Specialist to join our high-performing Safety Team located in Bella Vista, NSW. This role involves working closely with internal teams to enhance safety performance, manage incident reporting and investigations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to shaping our approach to safety and compliance.
Key Requirements:
* 4+ years' experience in WHS, safety, or compliance roles in complex or fast-moving environments, preferably in Logistics and Transportation industries.
* Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) is essential.
* ICAM qualification or similar is preferred.
* Proficient in risk assessment, incident reporting systems, and regulatory compliance.
* Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and implementing safety initiatives.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
* Flexibility to travel interstate.
