Design places that matter. Grow your career with an award-winning team.
- Award Winning and Career Defining Projects
At Place Design Group, we create places with meaning — places that connect people, culture, and environment.
For over 24 years, our multidisciplinary team has delivered award-winning projects across Australia, China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the Pacific Islands. From community parks and urban waterfronts to residential precincts and city‑shaping master plans, our work blends creativity, collaboration, and a deep respect for place.
We’re now looking for passionate and self‑motivated Landscape Architect to join our SEQ Design Team in Brisbane. If you’re ready to step up, lean in and take ownership of projects, and grow your technical and design capability within a supportive, highly creative team — this is the prospect your career has been waiting for.
The Role
You’ll be a designer within a studio that encourages curiosity, collaboration and design excellence. You’ll be a drafting and/or graphic powerhouse contributing to projects from concept through delivery, working alongside likeminded, experienced designers, planners, and technical specialists who will help you expand your skill set and confidence.
You Will:
- Contribute to design development and documentation across a wide range of projects.
- Prepare presentation materials, plans, and construction documentation.
- Preparation of graphic renders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
- Help deliver projects on time and on budget, with a focus on quality and creativity.
- Participate in internal design reviews and professional development opportunities.
- Be a part of a growing team by fostering the skills of junior staff.
About You
You’re a thoughtful, enthusiastic designer who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and learning from those around you. You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture (AILA registration or pathway desirable).
- Strong design and graphic communication skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, and/or CAD software.
- Good understanding of South East Queensland’s landscapes, plants, and climate.
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- The ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with clients.
- Full working rights in Australia (citizen, PR, or valid full‑time visa).
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
At Place Design Group, you’ll find more than just great projects — you’ll find a team that invests in your growth and celebrates your creativity. We offer:
- A supportive studio environment that encourages learning and mentorship.
- Diverse and meaningful projects that make a real impact.
- Opportunities to develop your design voice and take on new challenges.
- A culture that values work‑life balance, collaboration, and fun.
