Mainstream Recycling is proudly Australian owed and operates recycling facilities throughout New South Wales and Victoria.
The facility reintroduces processed organic materials back into the market. These materials can be utilised for farming, gardening and as landscaping product. Mainstream Recycling holds an innovation patent for its process.
About the Role
As our Facility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational functions, managing workforce planning, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will work closely with the General Manager and other stakeholders to deliver strategic business outcomes while maintaining high service quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage operational teams to maximize efficiency and performance.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with OHS standards, conducting audits and leading incident investigations.
* Manage resource allocation, staffing, and training programs.
* Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, ensuring swift resolution.
Your skills and experience
* Sound knowledge of operational health, safety, and environmental compliance frameworks.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Experience within a Recycling/Waste facility or allied industry.
* Associated tickets for mobile plant operation.
* Mechanical/fitter or similar trade skills well regarded.
* Advanced leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop your team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of organisational skills.
