About the role
Join the team at Rockhampton Engineering And Maintenance Services as a Fitter Machinist Apprentice. This is a full-time role based in Rockhampton, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a dynamic and growing engineering and maintenance services company.
Applicants must be Australian citizens to be eligible for this apprentice position.
What you'll be doing
* Undertake a comprehensive apprenticeship program to gain qualifications as a Fitter and Machinist
* Candidates must be at least 16 years of age to undertake this apprenticeship program.
* Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and manuals
* Develop proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring, cnc machining and manual machining
* Participate in ongoing training and development to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

* Passion for engineering, mechanics and hands-on work
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Willingness to learn and a commitment to completing an apprenticeship program
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable, safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
* Minimum education requirement of Year 10 completion.
