Brooks Hire has been in operation since the 1970s and is a national construction equipment hire company servicing the civil and mining sectors.We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager – West to oversee transport operations across Western Australia. Reporting directly to the General Manager - Transport, this is a critical position responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination of machine movements, contractor performance, and service delivery for our transport division.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all transport operations across WA, ensuring timely and cost-effective machine mobilisations, demobilisations, and transfersDevelop and implement transport strategies and processes to support business objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and clientsNegotiate transport rates and service agreements with subcontractorsProvide leadership and support to transport staff and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulationsMonitor transport costs, manage on-charges to clients, and drive efficiency improvementsEnsure high standards of customer service through proactive scheduling and clear communicationManage administrative functions related to transport including quotes, documentation, and reportingSkills And ExperienceProven experience in a Transport Manager or similar leadership role, ideally within the civil, mining, or heavy equipment industryStrong knowledge of heavy plant and equipment logisticsExcellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skillsHigh-level communication and stakeholder engagement skillsStrong computer literacy, including transport management systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work in a dynamic environment and lead a high-performing teamWhat We OfferA dynamic and supportive team environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesOn-site parkingCompetitive salary packageEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Strong focus on work-life balanceTo apply for this position, please submit your resume outlining your relevant qualifications, experience, and leadership capabilities.Brooks Hire is an equal opportunity employer.
