**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Operations Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering network switching services and project/program outage organisation to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate all onsite resources in line with the Plant Failure Attendance, Investigation and Return to Service Process.
* Deliver network switching services and project/program outage organisation to customers both within and external to Western Power.
* Prepare, coordinate and execute complex switching programs and provide technical support, specialist advice and training on Switching Operations and network access matters.
* Take personal accountability for safety in the work environment and ensure safe work practices are followed and a safe work environment maintained.
* Manage complex outages that affect a large and critical customers that can be the subject of AEMO scrutiny.
Requirements:
* Possess Current WA Electrical Workers License endorsed for Electrical Fitting or Electrical Mechanic.
* Western Power Switching Levels including Level 0 (eNAR), LOU and HOU or ZS, TL, TS.
* Secondary Access Authorisation.
* A minimum of 5+ years extensive technical experience within a particular discipline, preferably in the Networks business.
* Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the Energy Safety Act.
* Valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A'.
