Job Title: Manager – Private Tax
Overview
As a Manager in our Private Tax team, you will work with dynamic private enterprises, many operating at national and international levels, but privately owned by high‐net‐worth individuals and entrepreneurial families. You will partner with founders and family principals to support strategic growth, succession planning, and long‐term wealth preservation.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of diverse growth clients, including privately owned corporate groups, businesses, high‐net‐worth families, trusts, and other private entities.
- Oversee tax compliance, financial statements, planning, and advisory services for client groups featuring trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals.
- Work directly with Partners and senior Tax specialists to deliver advice on intricate tax matters such as restructures, domestic transactions, capital gains tax, Division 7A, and specific trust issues.
Skills and Attributes
- Experience in Tax Consulting, ideally within a top‐tier or second‐tier accounting firm or legal firm.
- Experience managing junior staff and supporting their development.
- Advanced tax technical knowledge relevant to corporate groups, individuals, or trusts.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
- Tax experience preferred in a professional services environment in Australia.
- Excellent client‐facing skills with confidence to lead client meetings and build a network.
