This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to learn and grow personally and professionally with a tight-knit, supportive & passionate team.
This is an intital 3 month contract starting ASAP. This is a hybrid working arrangement with a requirement to be in the office atleast 1 day per week.
**About the role**:
The purpose of this position is to administer payroll for the organisation and as part of the People and Safety team, provide Human Resources and administrative support as required.
This role contributions to objectives through:
- Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the payroll function
- Providing payroll support and advice to the organisation
**Your key responsibilities will be**:
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of all payroll processes including:
- Fortnightly processing of payroll
- Month end reconciliation and processing
- End of Financial Year processing and reconciliation
- Processing of termination payments
- Ad-hoc payments as required (back payments, bonus payments)
- Ensuring employees information and their employment details area accurately updated and maintained with the payroll system
- Maintain and update all system changes and requirements (legislative changes, system updates, pay rate changes)
- Troubleshoot and log and resolve system issues with the payroll system vendor
- Undertake compliance and ad-hoc reporting requirements
- Undertake audit requirements on all payroll related matters for internal and external audits
- Maintaining timely and accurate payroll records management
- Develop, implement and regularly review payroll policies and procedures
**About you**:
- Certificate IV in relevant discipline i.e. payroll management, finance, human resources, business and/or at least 5 years' (negotiable) experience in payroll for medium sized business.
- Demonstrated experience in operating and maintaining a payroll system
- High level numeracy skills with the ability to undertake manual caclulations
- Intermediate level excel skills
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail including high level of accuracy
- High level organisation skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven experience at developing and maintaining positve working relationships
- Experience dealing with sensitive information whilst maintaining privacvy and confidentiality
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the abilty effectively communicate with all levels within the business
- Previous experience using TechnologyOne Payroll system (Desirable)
