Azooa is currently preparing a formal Expression of Interest (EOI) in response to RFQTS 16280 under the Defence Support Services (DSS) Panel, released by the Department of Defence. We're assembling a shortlist of exceptional candidates for inclusion in our submission. We're now hiring for two vital long-term roles supporting the Directorate of Deployed ICT (D-ICT) within the Joint Capabilities Group, as part of the Cyber Operations Division. These roles directly impact the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) operational effectiveness, ensuring mission-critical communications infrastructure is well-managed and future-ready.
Role 1: Inventory Manager – Contractor ILS
Key Responsibilities :
* Lead a team in delivering integrated materiel logistics strategies
* Set work priorities, develop strategies, and oversee execution of logistics tasks
* Develop sustainment activity plans including communications, quality control, and resource management
* Implement logistics policy, processes, and procedures aligned with Defence standards
* Review and analyse logistics performance, ensuring alignment with strategic sustainment goals
* Build relationships with stakeholders across Defence at both strategic and operational levels
* Communicate logistics objectives clearly in written reports and oral briefings for higher delegate consideration
Essential Qualifications & Experience :
* MLPC (Materiel Logistics Practitioner Certification)
* Certificate IV in Logistic Management
* Minimum of 6 years’ experience in complex procurement or equivalent role
* Active NV1 security clearance
Desirable :
* MLIC (Frontline Management)
* Diploma of Materiel Logistics
* Supply Chain Management experience
Role 2: Materiel Technical Data Officer
Key Responsibilities :
* Coordinate ILS documentation reviews, ensuring compliance with Defence policies
* Develop logistic plans and procedures supporting in-service ICT equipment
* Provide cataloguing, codification, and maintenance advice
* Liaise with OEMs, system managers, and suppliers for obsolescence management
* Manage and report on compliancy and assurance activities for D-ICT logistics
* Maintain the D-ICT database and Fleet Product information on internal systems
* Participate in Technical Management meetings, deliver status reports, and prepare briefs on system impact
Essential Qualifications & Experience :
* MLPC (Materiel Logistics Practitioner Certification)
* Certificate IV in Logistic Management
* Active NV1 security clearance
Desirable :
* Experience in complex procurement
* Minimum 6 years in materiel logistics
Primary Work Location:
Deakin Offices, 109 Kent Street, Deakin, Canberra, ACT
Contract Period:
* Initial Term: 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2026 (345 days effort)
* Extension Options: Up to 2 x 12-month periods – (230 days effort annually, subject to Commonwealth discretion)
