About the role:
As the Social Care Coordinator, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility’s social care program. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of programs that are responsive, engaging, and tailored to the needs and interests of our residents.
* Plan, deliver and review engaging social, recreational, and therapy programs for residents
* Lead, support and coordinate social care staff and volunteers
* Build strong partnerships with local community groups, schools and organisations
* Encourage resident involvement through regular meetings and program input
* Manage resources, maintain accurate records, and monitor budgets
* Drive a volunteer program and ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards
* Contribute to strategic planning and participate in staff development and training
Essential:
* Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or a related discipline)
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Valid driver’s licence
* First Aid Certificate
* Confident using computers and managing information systems
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for working with older people
* Great customer service and relationship-building abilities
* Experience leading and coordinating a team or volunteers
* Comfortable engaging with people from all walks of life
