We’re looking for a **Commis Chef** who’s passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to grow in a dynamic kitchen environment.

**About the Role**

As a **Commis Chef**, you’ll support the kitchen team in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes across a variety of stations.

From chopping and portioning to plating and presentation, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

You’ll work closely with senior chefs, follow recipes and standards, and maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Prepare ingredients including chopping, portioning, and storing food

+ Cook and present dishes according to recipes and quality standards

+ Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, and microwaves

+ Monitor food quality and test dishes for doneness

+ Set up and break down workstations efficiently

+ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment

+ Follow food safety procedures and temperature checks

+ Assist in preparing cold foods and mise-en-place for service

+ Support the team during busy service periods

+ Report maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management

+ Uphold company policies, safety standards, and grooming expectations

**About You**

+ At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen (preferred)

+ Passionate about cooking and eager to learn new techniques

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety

+ Able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

+ Physically fit and able to stand, lift, and move throughout shifts

+ Clear communicator with a positive attitude

+ Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
