Tronox is recruiting for a pivotal role to support the design and construction of a new Rare Earth Chemical Facility in Western Australia.
Contract: Max term contract to April 2027
Roster: 9 day fortnight (38hr ave week)

About the Role
Tronox is seeking a detail-oriented and systems-savvy Senior Document Controller to manage the flow, control, and integrity of project documentation across both the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and Execution phases of a major Rare Earths project in Western Australia.
This role is responsible for ensuring that all project documents are properly received, reviewed, distributed, stored, and archived in accordance with project procedures and governance requirements. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Project Director, and discipline leads to maintain document traceability, version control, and accessibility across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
This position reports to the Project Controls Manager and plays a key role in supporting project governance, quality assurance, and handover readiness.
Initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract for the DFS phase, this role is designed to become permanent once the project achieves FID and moves into Execution.
Key Responsibilities
Document Control & Workflow Management
* Contribute to and maintain document control processes and procedures tailored to project needs
* Maintain and manage the document control system, ensuring accurate tracking, versioning, and distribution of all project documents
* Administer document control platforms (e.g. Aconex, SharePoint), including user access and metadata management
* Coordinate document workflows including reviews, approvals, transmittals, and submissions across internal teams and external parties
* Ensure documentation practices comply with project procedures, naming conventions, and regulatory requirements
Integration & Coordination
* Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation exchange
* Maintain drawing registers, transmittal logs, and audit trails to ensure document integrity and accountability
* Integrate with Tronox Project Management Office for best practices and policies
Execution Support
* Provide document control support during construction and commissioning phases
* Assist in resolving documentation-related queries and ensuring alignment with field activities, vendors and consultants
* Support readiness planning and ensure documentation is complete and validated for operational handover
Governance & Reporting
* Generate regular reports on document status, outstanding actions, and compliance metrics for project leadership
* Support final documentation collation and archiving for project close-out and transition to operations
* Contribute to continuous improvement of document control processes and systems
About you
To be successful in your application you will bring:
* Extensive experience in document control for major industrial or resource projects
* Strong capability in managing document control systems such as Aconex and SharePoint
* Proven ability to coordinate across disciplines and maintain document integrity
* Understanding of project governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
* Experience supporting As-Built documentation and handover processes
* Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* A proactive mindset focused on accuracy, traceability, and continuous improvement
* A diploma or certification in document control, project administration, or a related discipline preferred
