Job Description
The Demi Chef de Partie supports the smooth operation of the kitchen by preparing high-quality food across all service periods, maintaining kitchen standards and contributing to a positive, productive team environment. This role works closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Your day to day will include:
* Prepare and present food for all service periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet, following kitchen recipes and quality standards.
* Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised workspace, manage stock rotation, minimise waste, and ensure equipment is well maintained.
* Organise and manage an assigned section efficiently, supporting apprentices and junior team members, and assisting the Chef on duty as required.
* Monitor daily food and product needs, liaise with supervisors for guidance on orders, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery with prior hotel or hospitality experience.
* Food Safety Certificate.
* Full Australian working rights.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
* Knowledge of food safety requirements and kitchen operations.
* Service-oriented, detail-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality food.
* Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills; acts as a role model for hotel values and culture.
