About The Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join Metcash as Business Development Managers within our newly established Connected Business Unit, focusing on the Tasmanian market for Australian Liquor Marketers.
Reporting to the Tasmanian State Manager, you will drive sales growth with on-premise and retail customers in Launceston, Northwest, and East Coast Tasmania. Your responsibilities include managing customer territories, acquiring new business, and expanding product ranges within existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve sales strategies, projects, and initiatives to promote growth and new product ranging.
* Onboard new customers and guide them through credit applications and the ALM ordering portal.
* Identify and develop new sales opportunities through inbound and outbound efforts.
* Collaborate with supply partners to introduce new ranges and displays, meeting KPIs.
* Conduct business reviews to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
* Create and implement business plans for your territory to maximize new business.
* Set ranging targets and ensure excellent market execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Extensive knowledge of retail, liquor, or grocery industry sales and suppliers.
* Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
* Understanding of the liquor industry and key product ranges.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
