Your role
The role of Director, Finance Business Partner, Homes NSW is responsible for leading financial management oversight for Homes NSW, which leads housing and homelessness services and delivers on the social housing pipeline for New South Wales.
In this position you will act as the interface between the business operations finance team in Homes Division and the central DCJ finance team and other relevant internal and external stakeholders, including Treasury.
What you’ll do
Leading financial strategies and performance for Homes NSW, partnering closely with executive leadership team and wider internal & external stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement and embed strong financial disciplines across the division to better optimise strategic business outcomes.
Act as a trusted adviser, influencing decisions that shape housing outcomes for communities.
Champion change through finance teams whilst ensuring stakeholder collaboration, assuring sustainable and customer‑centric solutions.
Supporting the delivery of services in an efficient & effective manner and operate within their allocated budget.
You will work with a department that enables everyone's right to access justice and help for families through early intervention and inclusion, with benefits for the whole community by providing services that are effective and responsive to community needs.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in senior executive finance roles, ideally within complex, service‑driven environments.
A track record of leadership in change management and transformation through finance functions.
Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at all levels, including Treasury and Ministerial offices.
Expertise in financial strategy, risk management, and performance reporting and dissemination and explanation of quality financial needs and continuous improvement of level of financial management.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to public value enhancing customer service levels.
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce or relevant experience.
Eligibility for CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants ANZ membership.
Demonstrated capability in strategic thinking, financial analysis, and operational leadership.
