🚀 SOE Engineer – Secure Federal Environment | $700/day + Super
We’re partnering with a Federal Government client to engage an experienced SOE Engineer to support enterprise endpoint environments within a highly secure systems integration setting.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong expertise in endpoint management, automation, and secure environment delivery.📍 Ballarat (Onsite) 🕒 6-month contract + 6-month extension 💰 $700/day + Super 🔐 NV1 Clearance required (NV2 preferred/upgrade supported)
💡 WHY THIS ROLE?• Secure Federal Government environment supporting critical infrastructure • Work in a security-first, enterprise-scale ecosystem • Hands-on role with modern tooling (MECM, Packer, Ansible) • Drive automation & endpoint standardisation • Strong extension potential🛠️ WHAT YOU’LL DO• Build and maintain SOE images • Deploy OS, applications, and updates via MECM/SCCM • Automate builds and configurations using Packer & Ansible • Manage patching, upgrades & endpoint compliance • Troubleshoot large-scale deployment issues • Ensure alignment with security standards and policies • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver reliable endpoint performance
✅ WHAT YOU BRING• Strong experience with MECM/SCCM in enterprise environments • Proven background in OS imaging, software deployment, and patching • Hands-on experience with Packer & Ansible • Experience working in secure / government / regulated environments • Active NV1 clearance (or ability to uplift to NV2) • ~5 years’ experience in SOE / endpoint engineering roles
🎯 NICE TO HAVE• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python) • Understanding of endpoint security & compliance frameworks • Experience with Windows enterprise environments • Exposure to federal security standards (G02/EIE or similar) • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
