You love to socialise. Your friends may even call you a chatterbox or a social butterfly that people are just drawn to.Getting to know people and building relationships with them is what makes your heart sing.Using those skills at work is what you've always wanted to do or maybe you even do right now.You don't need to be an experienced BDM with an amazing track record of success, but that is where you want to get to and you want the right company to take you on that journey. You'll be paid $140-$160k package + a yearly bonus and you can work from wherever you want and schedule hours that suit your lifestyle. And what about the company?Five years in operation, their team of 43 are led by three directors with 60 years of industry experience and a management team well known and respected in the construction management space.Staff retention is high and being relatively small they are agile and can make quick decisions regarding you and the business. They will grow their team by another 15 this year and they are looking to increase their 35% of female staff to 50% ASAP. Staff equality is paramount here. They do regular team bonding and events, a yearly conference away and feedback from staff is that they feel valued and listened to.The head office is in Sydney near Wynyard and they have an office in Melbourne too.About you and what you'll be doingAt the moment there are 6 directors and associates who are tasked with bringing in new business and work. But like anyone at a senior level, they are time-poor and usually spinning plates on delivering projects. That's where you will come in. You'll assist them with coordinating tenders, tracking opportunities, and following up with clients. One of your first tasks will be to set up a CRM system so you can coordinate all the BD that needs to be done. They won't expect you to go out and necessarily win loads of projects but with your help, they expect to have more workload later this year. You'll get to attend plenty of industry events hosted by NAWIC and the property council for example and you'll meet decision-makers in the property and construction sector.Although we don't expect you to be a super-connector right away you'll need the personality to develop relationships and ideally have an architectural/design or consultancy background.I'm intrigued, what's the next step? How to apply You don't need to send a CV at this stage. Just call James on for an informal chat or send me an email at telling me why you're interested. Everyone will receive a response within 3 days.
