About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.
We are currently looking to fill 2 permanent part time positions. Please list your preferred line in your application.

Monday 4:30pm to 9:30am (sleepover)
Friday 6:30am to 9:30am
Sunday 2:30pm to 6:30am (sleepover)
Week 2
Wednesday 2pm to 7:30pm
Saturday 4:30pm to 9:30am (sleepover)

Key Responsibilities
* Support a tech-loving client by integrating iPads and other digital tools into daily routines
* Use technology to creatively enhance communication, recreation, and client-led supports
* Confidently support clients with complex needs, including physical and verbal behaviours of concern
* Follow behaviour management and meal time management plans
* Full personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing and grooming
* Encourage community participation which may include 1 on 1 support within the community
Skills & Experience
* Experience supporting behaviours of concern and/or complex needs
* Ability to drive a large van for client transportation
* An unrestricted New South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
* A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
