- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) is an insight-driven, forward-looking function that is focused on enterprise forecasting, reporting, and direct business support and partnership.

- This is a newly created permanent position, due to business needs in a fast-moving, transformational environment. This role reports to the Finance Director, Product Development based in Australia. This role involves extensive problem-solving, continuous improvement, liaison with key Product Development/Engineering and Finance stakeholders in Australia and overseas to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and financial rigour.
- Partner budget owners (Product Development engineers and Project Managers) and Finance (including Accounting and Shared Services teams) in Australia and overseas.
- Preparing, reviewing and analysing project expenses, capital expenditure, resourcing, project budgets and long-range plans to provide visibility and insights.
- Preparing management reports and contributing to end of month accounting activities. Providing guidance, insights, identifying risk and opportunities
- Maintaining system data, reviewing and resolving data issues, systems and structure to ensure timely, accurate data to drive decision-making and ensure delivery of objectives. Managing multiple, complex systems and data
- Improving efficiency and enabling insights by identifying opportunities, building financial models, automation in Excel and Tableau and process improvement
- Creating process documentation, preparing and delivering user training to engineers and Finance
- Opportunity to be a key player in other projects eg designing, building and implementing data, reporting, process and system changes (template update, data migration)
- Other ad hoc duties, as required
- Let's talk about you
- Degree-qualified in Business, Accounting, Data analytics or Engineering, with minimum Credit average. CA/CIMA/CPA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced skills in Excel (PowerQuery) are essential. Proficient in ERP systems and BI tools. Experience in TM1, Anaplan, Tableau, PowerBI preferred
- Self-starter with strong follow-through, who is deadline-driven and can manage multiple priorities, work independently and as part of a team
- Sharp attention to detail. Demonstrated experience with complexity - large volumes of messy data and multiple systems
- Flexible, adaptable, curious and innovative mindset. Is comfortable to challenge the status quo and work with ambiguity.
- Empathetic business partnering skills, solutions-driven while ensuring compliance and integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
