The Role:
As a Strategic Communications Officer, you'll lead the development and delivery of comprehensive communication strategies. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring messaging is aligned with objectives and delivered to a high standard. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing tailored communication strategies for program announcements and policy initiatives.
* Collaborating with specialists in design, digital, media, and more to bring strategies to life.
* Creating and editing content for web, social media, internal communications, and marketing materials.
* Managing relationships with program and client areas to foster collaboration.
* Evaluating communication activities to measure effectiveness.
* Mentoring team members and building capability across the branch.

* Proven experience in communications account management within government.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities.
* Sound judgment and the ability to make informed decisions or escalate when necessary.

* Experience drafting digital marketing content.
