This role is pivotal in ensuring improved outcomes for children and young people. The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic direction of the Department for Education, Children and Young People by supporting the Office of the Secretary in leading organisational change, driving initiatives, and engaging stakeholders within an environment that values collaboration and continuous improvement.
The position entails providing strategic policy advice, developing, delivering, implementing, and reviewing policy and projects to improve outcomes for children and young people in Tasmania. This may include a particular focus on child safety and child safe organisations, as well as the implementation of reforms recommended by the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
* A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
