We’re looking for a fulltime Trainer / Assessor – Pathology Collection to join our Brisbane team.
A day in the life
Drawing on your passion for teaching and your industry experience, you’ll play a key role in equipping students with practical skills and confidence they need to thrive in their careers
A typical day could see you:
· Delivering engaging classroom training in our training centre
· Conducting workplace observations across the metro area to support students in practical settings
· Guiding learners through the full spectrum of pathology collection, from patient interaction and sample collection to maintaining compliance with industry standards
· Inspiring and supporting students as they develop the technical competencies essential to their future roles
Reporting to the Lead Trainer & Assessor – Pathology Collection, you’ll be part of a supportive team of trainers, quality and compliance specialists, and corporate services staff.
Must-haves
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110),
OR a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (e.g. TAE, TESOL),
OR a secondary teaching qualification (ideally with TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024)
- A relevant pathology qualification (such as the HLT37215 Certificate III in Pathology Collection) OR equivalent industry experience
Experience
- Minimum 3 years practical experience in pathology collection (venepuncture, specimen handling, patient care)
- Previous experience in education or training will be highly regarded 
Other Requirements
- A valid driver’s licence
- Own vehicle

- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- High level of computer literacy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to engage with diverse learners and support their progression
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for RTOs and the pathology sector
