Channel Director
Videography | YouTube | Short-Form
Sunshine Coast, QLD
Full-time or 0.8 FTE (open to the right person)
If you're ambitious, creative, and hungry to build a career that actually contributes to something meaningful, this role is your springboard.
At The Profit Analyst, we're redefining what a financial coaching company looks like in Australia (then we're hitting the US & Asia). We're building a modern, finance-led coaching business that leads its industry…and you'll play a central role in bringing that vision to life.
This role is for someone who wants more than "just another content job."
Someone who wants to build a career they're genuinely proud of; where their work contributes to something meaningful, their skills grow fast, and their impact is visible.
In return, we're looking for someone who's all-in. Someone who sees this as a chance to build a portfolio, a reputation, and a future alongside a growing business.
This isn't just a job. It's a career-defining opportunity.
The Role: Channel Director
This role requires a rare mix of creativity, technical skill, and follow-through.
As our Channel Director, you'll be the person who captures, produces, shapes, and publishes the content that represents who we are and tracks how it performs.
You'll have real ownership. Not just over files and edits, but over how our thinking shows up in the world.
You won't be doing everything, but what you do own, you own end-to-end.
In this role, you'll be the…
* Videographer
* Editor
* Channel owner
* Graphic-capable creative
* Creative sounding board
* Performance owner
Your fingerprints will be everywhere: on the look, feel, and consistency of our content.
Over time, that body of work becomes yours too. People will recognise your execution, your eye, and your ability to turn thinking into content that actually lands.
If the idea of real ownership excites you more than it scares you…keep reading.

Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who wants to build something, not just post content and move on.
You're ambitious, curious, and you care about doing good work. You want real ownership, room to grow, and the chance to contribute to something meaningful, not just tick boxes.
This role is for you if you:
* Want genuine ownership and responsibility, not a narrow task list
* Enjoy planning shoots and directing filming days
* Have a good eye for spotting strong insights that translate into great short-form content
* Like thinking ahead and improving systems, not just reacting
* Care about quality, consistency, and impact
* Enjoy collaborating with smart people and sharing ideas
This role is probably not for you if you're looking for a task-only role, want everything planned for you, or are only interested in trends and quick wins.
Why The Profit Analyst
The Profit Analyst isn't just a coaching business…it's a front-row seat to how real businesses are built.
Our founder, Gav, runs multiple businesses across coaching and hospitality, and this role gives you a front-row seat to the ideas, conversations, and opportunities that come with operating in 8-figure business networks.
In this role, you won't be tucked away in the background. You'll be close to the thinking, the conversations, and the moments that matter - capturing content as it happens and shaping it into work that travels.
What this gives you:
* Direct exposure to a founder with real-world experience across multiple businesses
* Access to conversations and ideas you don't get in a standard content role
* The chance to build content around real thinking, not recycled trends
* A team that values growth, contribution, adventure and having fun along the way
This is the kind of role where you learn fast, grow quickly, and end up with a portfolio (and network) that opens doors.
If you want a role that fast-tracks your growth, stretches you, and gives you real-world exposure to how serious businesses operate, this is it.
You'll build skills across content creation, visual storytelling, channel growth, and performance while working close to the action and building a body of work (and network) you'll be proud of.

If that's you, we'd love to meet you.
