About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Grade 6, you blend hands‐on clinical care with leadership, education, and research, while maintaining infection control standards. You will work closely with the Practice Leader – Infection Control to guide, support, and influence teams across Central Queensland Health.
Responsibilities
* Support teams with expert infection‐control advice
* Audit hand hygiene and aseptic technique
* Help run prevention programs, including vaccines
* Participate in outbreak management with public health experts when needed
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
* Strong knowledge of infection‐control guidelines, national standards, and evidence‐based practice
* Team‐player with leadership skills, capable of building strong relationships across teams and motivating others
* Effective workload management, forward‐thinking, and risk‐reducing strategies to improve outcomes
* Excellent communication skills, able to write reports, present ideas, and explain the rationale behind infection‐control practices
Benefits
Total remuneration value of up to $44,560 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $57.48 – $61.55 p.h.
* 12.75 % employer superannuation contribution
